Studiengang Sports Technology

Since 2000, Loughborough University has offered a BSc programme in Sports Technology. The course, which admits approximately 30 students each year, is a three year programme based within the Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. In addition to the engineering content, students will study modules in the School of Sport and Exercise Science, Business School, Mathematical Sciences, Institute of Polymer Technology and Materials Engineering.

The course, which was established in response to the needs of the Sports Equipment Industry, also involves industrial case studies given by leading Sports Technologists working in the Industry. For those students who require it, a science and engineering foundation programme leading onto the BSc Sports Technology course is also available.
